Two Atacama packages on GetYourGuide include the Calama Airport transfer. 3 Perfect Days in Atacama + Airport Transfer was $280 per person and the 4-Day Magic Desert Tour from Calama was $310 when we checked on 3 October 2026. Neither includes accommodation or park entry fees. The popular Best of Atacama combo does not include the airport transfer at all.

3 Perfect Days in Atacama + Airport Transfer

This package assumes your flight reaches Calama by 5 p.m. on day one and leaves after 4 p.m. on day three. A shared transfer brings you to your hotel in San Pedro, and that night you go out on an astronomy tour from 9 to 11:30 p.m., with a cocktail and hot drinks. Day two is the Baltinache Hidden Lagoons in the morning and Valle de la Luna in the afternoon, with a cocktail. Day three starts at 4:30 a.m. for El Tatio with breakfast, and after you get back around noon a shared transfer takes you to the airport.

The order follows the altitude advice for the region. The first two days stay low, and El Tatio, at about 4,320 m, comes after two nights in San Pedro. The catch is that the listing is new, with five reviews at 5.0. If your flights fall outside the timings, the operator says you can still book it and arrive earlier or leave later. Park fees are paid on the day in Chilean pesos: CLP 10,800 for Valle de la Luna, CLP 12,000 for Baltinache and CLP 15,000 for El Tatio, CLP 37,800 in all per person.

4-Day Magic Desert Tour from Calama

Ruta Chile’s four-day package starts with a transfer from Calama Airport and Moon Valley that afternoon, so it asks you to book a flight landing before 10:00. Day two covers Laguna Chaxa, the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, Socaire and Piedras Rojas. Day three is El Tatio at dawn, then Laguna Cejar, Ojos del Salar and sunset at Laguna Tebinquiche. On day four you transfer back to Calama Airport.

It packs in more sites than 3 Perfect Days, and it goes high quickly: Piedras Rojas, at roughly 4,000 m, comes after one night in San Pedro. Pickups are from centrally located hotels, and the operator sends a meeting point if yours is outside the zone. The operator also needs every traveler’s passport details for the passenger list. Best of Atacama: the combo without the transfer

Best of Atacama: 4 Tours in 3 Days by Pukarumi, $371.40 per person and rated 4.7 from 345 reviews, has far more reviews than either package. It lists “Transfer to hotel” as not included, so you book the airport transfer yourself. Pickup for the tours comes from your accommodation in San Pedro, as long as it is inside the urban area. Entry to Chaxa, the altiplanic lagoons and Piedras Rojas is included; Moon Valley, El Tatio and Baltinache are extra.

Package or separate bookings: who each suits

A package suits you if you have three or four days, want the classic sites, and would rather not coordinate airport times and tour days yourself. The operator lines the tours up with your flights.

Booking separately suits you if you are staying longer, want to choose your operators by reviews, or want rest days at altitude between the low and high trips. Practical tips

• Check your flight times against the package before you book: by 5 p.m. for 3 Perfect Days, before 10:00 for the 4-day tour.
• Bring Chilean pesos from Calama for park fees. El Tatio is paid in cash, and San Pedro’s ATMs can run out.
• Book accommodation in the center so the pickups reach you; see where to stay in San Pedro.
• Valle de la Luna is closed on 6, 13, 20 and 27 October 2026. Avoid those days for the Moon Valley day of any package.
• High sites close in snow at short notice. Give the operator a WhatsApp number so they can move days.
